Meg Rosoff, There Is No Dog
Just a reminder that even with all the tragic acts there are still amazingly good people.
I am officially a PAID graphic designer. Moving on up to the big leagues, I mean its not a full time position, but I Shauna Brooke Rush am getting paid to do what I love, what I want to do, what I want to be. And I’m really proud of myself, like dance around the room proud of myself.
& This one is my favorite. I think its because it Sparkles in my mouth. 
I’ve said this a million times, but it is something I truly believe. The rain makes me feel small yet powerful, and ALIVE. I love dancing in the rain, jumping in puddles, or just standing there looking up thanking God for the giant smile he just put on my face. The rain tells me everything is gonna be ok. I’m not talking about that wimpy rain where it drizzles and my car gets dirty. I’m speaking of that all out full on downpour that soaks your shoes and ruins your hair. The kind of rain that makes you think you are in a Nicholas Sparks book, that kind of rain is invigorating. Today I ran through the rain, sprinted around my block, because I could, because I am trying really hard to run more often, and because it felt incredible. I love the rain. Always have,always will.

But in the last year I’ve been learning all i can about people life and most importantly me.. so I’m coming back swinging and making my life what I want it to be, and rolling with the punches. I guess that’s what growing up is ? Something I swore I’d never do. I guess I can grow up as long as I don’t grow old :) here’s to being 5 for the rest of forever.
